The thing we do most often here that nobody bills for is talking somebody out of a visit. A pool that is dropping has two free tests in front of it, and a damp patch after rain is a question about a line nobody has ever filmed. Both of those are worth answering before a van is booked rather than after.

This is a working plumbing business rather than a brand with subcontractors behind it. The person who prices the job is the person who turns up to do it.
The rule that matters most here is knowing where our work stops. Buried pool lines are plumbing and we test and repair them. Shells, structural cracking, chemistry and filtration equipment are not, and saying that costs us a job now and again. It is still the right answer.
